Day two in London
Well here it is ladies and gents, my third post for my blog. What to say, what to say...well for starters a ten hour plane trip is far worse then driving for ten hours in my belief. The seats are uncomfortable, no ac to blow in your face, strange accented flight attendants, and worst of all no way to have Starbucks while on your journey! They should really consider making the dang things a little more spacious and what not.
Once we finally landed it was just a cloudy blur, one must adapt to a time difference, money conversion to something called a pound instead of a dollar and pence instead of cents. Include the fact that you are half delirious from only getting a three hour nap on the flight doesn't mix well. In the end though we got on our shuttles and headed to our school to wait for the home stay families.
In order to pass the time away I played solitaire, only further putting me to sleep. 6 o'clock rolled around, a cab was called, Spencer and I were called a cab to the home witch we will be staying at for three months. For those back home proportions are much smaller then in America. Our suitcases barely fit through the doors of the house. Cars, streets, houses, drinks, food, mostly everything except for prices. The wonderful lady who is hosting us is named Jenny. She is wonderful, and has a cat named borris that will attack you if provoked or sleep in your lap, at least from my experiences. Jenny was nice enough to take us out for dinner for pizza at pizza express. It was delicious, plus you can never go wrong with pizza. Came home fully unpacked and went to bed.
Day two not to exciting, nothing but meetings and lots of walking and Tube riding. Saw the apartment students place its quaint and homey. Got my phone at a place called Voda phone or something but that was a neet walk up to Kensington high street. Lots of nice expensive shops. Then just hung out with friends, witch was nice before school gets going and everything.
It has been a crazy few days and I feel as if it has been more than two days, still wrapping my head around it to. Tomorrow will be cool, we get to go down the Thames River and a sightseeing trip, so we will be seeing some famous sights from the river witch should lead to a fantastic day. To add, there is the Thames River Festival I plan on attending. The adventure has only just begun but there are many days to come and I look forward to them.
Cheers
Zach
